Spyonclear Central 2. Mid-January, Obsolete windows versions, Windows 7 "dies", and how the IT community hyped about that moment.
Windows 7, internally called as an NT 6.1, while outsiders called it as a Seven and Vienna, while insiders called the name Windows 7 as a codename, released in October 2009. That was a damn hype because many people loved Vista's look and feel, while still sitting at XP/2000. Only WinNT before 2000, and the 9x family was obsolete. But now time was on, we already seen 2000, XP, and Vista dying, Windows 8.x and the 10 family released. Windows 7 is not a leader, since like in late-2010s. Windows 7 was pretty cool, i used that version since like on 2011, while it was on formerly my computer since 2013 up to 2017. then next computer have it in 2017/18, then it died because i wanted to download cumulative updates (but then hardware already refusing to work before that happend). Needless to say that 'next'-gen computer are from late-2000s. vNext™ laptop have vNext™ Windows 10 version, that was 1703, then 1803, then insider preview of 1903, and so on.
The point is there is a lot of hype in WNR community about Windows 7's end of extended support. It was just like New Year's eve, so you can pay respects to it, and make a speculation about Windows versions beyond the number 10. Althought some users refuse to update to Windows 10, like PTA.
Althought cheeky linux devs trying to get Windows 7 users to switch to ubuntu-like distribution with KDE Plasma.
Even then, some Windows 7 users trying to get support to 2023 for free.
And even then, there are exist Windows Embedded POSReady 7, so there may hack happend to extend support to October 2021, or re-sit to Windows Thin PC
The rumors happening that Windows 7 forcing people to "update" to the latest... MS-DOS version 6.22.
Windows 7 ended it's official support on January 14, and that's all. The survival is on; the testing polygon are starting to work. Windows 7 is a new 2000 and XP, while 2008 is a new 2003.
I have Windows 10, and i am ok with it, but 26% of Windows users thinking it is too early to be an adult. See you in next blog!
